Common Questions
Do I need an electrician to install this?
VEIL film runs on 60V AC through a step-down transformer or controller — never connect it directly to mains voltage. We recommend professional installation for the wiring to a wall switch, remote receiver or smart control module.
What's the difference between adhesive and laminated mount?
Adhesive film applies directly onto your existing glass — ideal for retrofits. Laminated film is bonded between two panes of glass at the time of glazing — best for new installations or full glass replacements.
Which clarity grade should I choose?
96% gives the clearest "on" state, closest to normal glass. 85% and 88% offer a softer, more diffused transmittance when powered on. All three grades frost fully opaque when powered off.
