Overview

The CLARIO Rectangular Defogger 30 x 30cm is a self-adhesive mirror demister pad designed to keep bathroom and washroom mirrors permanently clear of condensation. Operating on 12V DC at 23W, the pad bonds directly to the rear surface of the mirror and raises the glass temperature marginally above the surrounding dew point, preventing fog from forming rather than clearing it after the fact. Its 300 x 300mm footprint suits small-to-medium rectangular and square vanity mirrors. Sealed to IP54, the pad is engineered for the sustained humidity of enclosed bathroom environments.

• The pad prevents condensation within its own footprint only; the demisted zone matches the pad dimensions, not the full mirror.
• Can be wired in parallel with mirror LED lighting so both activate from a single switch.
• Not suitable for trimming or cutting — the resistive circuit will be destroyed.
• Suitable for use behind standard silvered float glass mirrors from 4mm thickness upward.

Wiring & Installation Notes

• Clean the rear mirror surface thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol and allow to dry fully before application.
• Position the pad centrally within the intended viewing zone, peel the release liner and apply firm even pressure from the centre outward to expel trapped air.
• Maintain a minimum 20mm clearance from the mirror edge and from any bevel or cut-out.
• Connect the lead-out cable to a regulated 12V DC supply, observing correct polarity.
• Route the cable clear of the pad body to avoid localised heat build-up against the insulation.
• All 220–240V primary side wiring must be carried out by a qualified electrician and protected by an appropriate RCD.
• Do not energise the pad before it is bonded to glass — operating in free air will cause overheating.
• Allow the adhesive 24 hours to cure fully before first use.
• Installation must comply with local electrical regulations for bathroom zones.
