CLARIO Double Touch-Key for Defogger Pad | 12VDC 10A Input/Output

Overview

The CLARIO Double Touch-Key is a two-zone capacitive touch switch for controlling 12V DC defogger pads and accessories such as mirror LED lighting. Unlike the CLARIO Double Touch-Key with Power Supply, this unit does not include a built-in power supply — it simply switches 12V DC input through to two independent outputs, so it is used downstream of an existing regulated 12V DC driver. Each zone is rated at 10A, comfortably handling the current draw of any single CLARIO defogger pad in the range, including the largest 120W round model.

Technical Notes

• Requires a separate 12V DC power supply — this unit switches the load, it does not generate 12V DC itself.
• 10A per-zone rating provides ample headroom above the ~10A draw of the largest 120W round defogger pad.
• Suitable for two-zone installations; for a single defogger-only control point, use the CLARIO Single Touch-Key instead. For an all-in-one solution with built-in 220V to 12V DC power supply, use the CLARIO Double Touch-Key with Power Supply.

Wiring & Installation Notes

• Connect the 12V DC supply to the switch input and each load (e.g. defogger pad, LED strip) to its respective switch output, observing correct polarity.
• All mains-side wiring on the upstream power supply must be carried out by a qualified electrician and protected by an appropriate RCD.
• Mount within easy reach of the user, in accordance with local bathroom electrical zoning regulations.
• Isolate the power supply before making or altering any connections.
